From all of us here at the DrErika.com web site and my office we send you our compassion, love and prayers for safety and reunion with your loved ones.
As many of you know, my youngest daughter Katie is a student at Tulane University in New Orleans. She was starting her senior year last week when Katrina hit. She and her housemates were evacuated to Texas and during every phone call between Sunday and Tuesday morning; all the girls would talk about was their quick return to their beloved city and school. It was not meant to be and thankfully they are all back in New York safe and sound.
Unfortunately, not every one with loved ones in the ravaged Gulf Coast can say that.
I have been receiving e-mails from many and have been deafened by the silence of those of our community who have been so quiet for the past six days.
We have posted a Red Cross contribution link to the right of the posts on this blog and I urge you to help.
Time heals. The proud people of the Gulf Coast, with all of our help and support, will come together to rebuild their homes and communities.
Our community and I stand by ready to provide any type of support we can.
